High/Scope Child Observation Record for Ages 2 ½ - 6 - This assessment system was developed by the High/Scope Educational Research Foundation. The system records child observations in six categories of development conducted throughout the program year by teachers and caregivers. There is a corresponding High/Scope curriculum, but the assessment tool can be used separately.

For more information about the High/Scope Child Observation Record, contact the High/Scope Educational Research Foundation at (800) 40-PRESS, or on-line at www.highscope.org.

Work Sampling System - This system is an ongoing classroom performance assessment system designed for children in preschool through fifth grade. The tool tracks children's development across seven curriculum domains. Although it is designed as an integrated approach with a curriculum, programs can choose to use only the developmental guidelines and checklists.

For more information about the Work Sampling System, contact Rebus, Inc. at (800) 435-3085, or on-line at http://www.pearsonearlylearning.com/research/research_wss.html

Teaching Strategies' Creative Curriculum - This package includes Child Development and Learning Checklists for infants through preschool. The checklist records observations on social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. The checklist is intended to be used in conjunction with the Creative Curriculum framework.

For more information about Creative Curriculum, contact Teaching Strategies, Inc. at (800) 637-3652, or on-line at www.teachingstrategies.com.
