About Facts in Action
Inside the State House:
Office of Child Care Services Proposes Sliding Fee Scale to Become Effective May 1, 2000

This scale is used for families receiving subsidized child care services through OCCS slots and vouchers, as well as through Community Partnerships for Children slots. The scale will be adjusted to reflect current state median income levels. Parent fees have also been adjusted to allow for 25 fee levels (formerly there were only 14 levels). Because of the changes some families will have their fees reduced and families with slightly higher incomes will be eligible for subsidies.

For more information:
on the sliding fee scale, call OCCS at (617) 626-2000.
